but then again some people arent like that, being able to throw everything and i mean everything away to save whats most important to you is a thing only a "hero" is able to do. i think you would flip out and do whatever you had to do to stop them from being killed- even if that meant throwing everything else in your life away. Imagine that all of your friends are arround you demanding that you kill your mother (or whoever is the most important thing in your life), and they had done nothing wrong. You say that ludgers personality doesnt support his actions. there is no weakness he cant target, and no range he cant attack from. its sad, but i'd rank him forth in terms of power for the Tales heroes, and this is mainly because hes practically immortal while in chromatus form, and he is the most versatile of any of the tales heroes ever created. Not to mention everyone else at the same time.Īgain tho. I also find it hard to believe that Ludger, even with the Chromatus transformation, could take down the entire Xillia party which includes Maxwell, Lord of Spirits, a great spirit that has control over dimensional space, and King of Rieze Maxia who beat the entire colloseum by himself at age 12 before uniting an entire country before the age of 30. Yeah, they give you "options" to make Ludger unique throughout the whole game but he still has a very obvious character and I didn't think that character was compatible with what happens in the bad ending. It wasn't inconceivable that he'd refuse to kill Julius, but he seems much more like the kind of person who would opt to take his own life and insist the others carry on his will and save Elle so that none of them would kill Julius. I'm not a huge fan of the bad ending because at no point during the game did I ever feel like Ludger was the kind of person who could murder his friends even if it was for his brother. Its also the only game to ever make me cry, but that's mainly because some story events bring up some traumatic memories for me.
#Tales of xillia 2 ludger and julius series
It would be my favorite entry in the series if it had more new content (I'm not even upset that much about the reused stuff, just needed more new shit) and if it hadn't completely dropped the ball with Muzet's development. You could probably tell by my flair, but I loved this game and almost everything it did.
#Tales of xillia 2 ludger and julius full
I would've liked to see if Jude wielding Maxwell 1 (who I hold to be stronger than Milla wielding the 4 Great Spirits) and full power Gaius could've made some sort of difference. I mean, I thought Gaius at full strength was already pushing for power levels at the end of the first game, but Ludger had only just awakened Level 3, and bam, took down the 4 most powerful beings (+ some friends) in Riexe Maxia at their max with the exception of Gaius. I mean, the game advertised that pretty hard, but Ludger fucking stomped everyone. I loved how it showed just how silly OP the chromatus and eventually Ludger really are.
